So, just for the record here is the list of current other projects Grinn are involved in:

The Sisters of Muphy (visit)

What: The widely respected Sisters of Mercy tribute act.

Who: Paddy and Mark (Original Grinn bass player - now in Stricken) in 1997. Ian joined in 2001. Also features Mia from Stricken and Sid from Exploding Kid.

Status: Active – still very much alive and ramping up gig frequency again after Sid’s relocation to London

Endorphin Machine (visit)

What: Prince tribute act

Who: Paddy and a bunch of real musicians.

Status: Active – After a couple of big gigs and a few false starts due to band member drop-outs things are ramping up once again

Poor Melody Men

What: New Model Army cover act

Who: Ian and Nev along with Liquidhead drummer Martin

Status: Building up set ready to start gigging later in the year

Tim Spoons

What: Pub/Party cover band playing Alt rock, pop punk, Hard Rock from the sub mainstream – avoiding ‘Classic Rock’ like the plague. This is the first band that Paddy, Ian and Mark played in together – established in 1993 but remained dormant for many years.

Who: Paddy, Ian, Mark, Lee, Mia (Stricken, Smurphs) and maybe a few other guests.

Status: Active – Set lists circulating, practice sessions imminent – gigging ASAP – the main motivation is to earn some money to cover rent of our rehearsal studio and replace some of our more decrepit studio equipment.

SinConConfuso (visit)

What: Solo project from Matt Dryden. Oft melancholic progressive, experimental, indie tuneness.

Who: Lee, Graham (from our favourite PA company Scuzzy PA), Matt Dryden (obviously) , Ian Spencer

Status: Active

Stuff It

What: Yet to be named Wonderstuff covers band, first aborted attempt in 2000, abandoned when the real act reformed. Now gearing up for another attempt.

Who: Paddy, Ian, Nev, Martin (Liquidhead), Ed (Dolefin)

Status: Active – pre planning stage.

Untitled Guns and Roses thingy

What: Guns and Roses cover act instigated by Mia, sticking pretty much to Appetite for Destruction era material!

Who: Mia, Mark, Ian, Paddy and maybe Ben (ex-Mary Jane)

Status: Bar stool plan!

You're Worst Nightmare/Dream Machine:

What: Guerilla Punk/Rock covers party band - Last minute, rehersal-less, set filler.

Who: Ian and various members of Liquidhead and 3 daze lost

Status: On Call, night or day

Ian and Paddy Acoustic

What: Paddy and Ian supporting each other for solo acoustic material – recording and performing.

Who: Ian and Paddy, obviously – plus the occasional hired hand

Status: Individual writing

Ian and Paddy unnamed Album Project:

What: Ian and Paddy getting together to write a album of rock/alt rock/whatever songs

Who: Paddy and Ian and what ever musicians are needed for each track

Status: Individual writing sessions

Dolefin (visit)

What: Seminal Huddersfield punk/folk/rock band

Who: Ian, Mark, Ed and Neil (now with Scots punk legends Happy Spasticks)

Status: Semi retirement – pop up from time to time, played the New Year in!
